The university of Delhi informally known as a Delhi University (DU) is recognized as Institute of higher education by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university is ranked 6th by National Institutional Ranking Framework 2024.
University of Delhi- Delhi University (DU) takes an entrance Exam, such as the Common University Entrance Test (CUET):
- CUET (UG): for undergraduate programs, applicants must take the CUET (UG) and register for the Common Seat Allocation system (CSAS) (UG).
- CUET (PG): for postgraduate programs, applicants must take the CUET (PG) and register for the CSAS (PG).
Ailet is All India Law Entrance Test only for NLU Delhi. LL.B is three year post graduate program in Delhi university. Every year Delhi University conducts merit basis entrance exam for admission to LL.B programs such as Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for postgraduation (PG). CUET is a national-level exam that assesses a candidate’s legal aptitude, general knowledge, and language proficiency.
To be eligible for the CUET for DU LLB, candidates must have bachelor’s degree with at least: 50% marks for general category, 45% marks for OBC, and 40% marks for SC/ST.
The CUET for DU LLB consist of 75 multiple choice questions (MCQs) across four sections:
- Language comprehension: 25 questions that test grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.
- General Knowledge and awareness: 20 questions that asses Knowledge of current affairs, history, geography, politics, and other general knowledge area.
- General aptitude and logical reasoning: 15 questions that evaluate problem-solving abilities, logical reasoning skills, and analytical thinking.
Ailet is All India Law Entrance Test, which held every year for admission to UG, PG and PH.D. programs offered by the (NLU) National Law University. Ailet has been conducted on Dec 8, 2024 for admission of 2025.
National Law university (NLU) Delhi is not under Delhi University (DU). NLU Delhi was established by the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi in 2008. NLU Delhi conducts its own entrance exam, the All India Entrance Test (AILET), for admission to its courses. It does not accept scores from the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), which is accepted by other National Universities (NLUs).
NLU Delhi is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ grade. It is also approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI). According to NIRF 2024, NLU Delhi has been ranked in 2nd position under law category.
